Vampires in Emerald Hurst have evolved over the years. They do not stand out as they once used to. They seem to be more human in appearance, perhaps not as pale as a traditional vampire. They tend to retain their looks at the time of death, unless they are lacking enough blood to sustain them. When their blood levels begin to drop their appearance begins to deteriorate, this forcing them to feed often. They are not able to digest normally as they no longer have any inside organs. They do not hold a heartbeat, they tend to stay clear of the natural sunlight. Vampires tend to be secretive and persuasive, luring their prey through words rather than actions. Many do not show their true inner self until the timing is just right, but it is up to the player to determine how they want to play.

First Quarter moon makes for hysteria, a blind hunger for blood. During this time they  have no control over themselves. They will typically hold no memories or be able to distinguish between friend or foe at the time. If the vampire does not feed during this time they would become more tired than usually on the next day after a hysteria.

Allure: They hold the ability to use a simple one word command that would bring their target to them. To use this the vampire must have a personal item that belongs to them such as an item of cloth or strand of hair. All items must be role-played obtaining. To use this command you must have ooc consent of the target you are bringing forth. This is a given ability.

Blood Doll: Vampires may take a blood doll. This is where the blood doll becomes connected to the vampire. It does not make the blood doll a slave, but instead highly influenced and addicted to the vampire. A blood doll feels more compelled to listen  To become a blood doll, they must drink from the same vampire three times at three separate times. The vampire is able to sense when their blood doll is in danger and strong emotions, but they cannot locate the blood doll. The blood doll cannot stand to be separated from their vampire for long and will need their blood quite often. This should be taken seriously as a vampire may only have one blood doll and will need to continue to share their blood. Blood dolls are normally not fed from by other vampires without express permission. Breaking this is extremely painful. If the blood doll does not receive the vampire’s blood for more than two week, the bond is broken.  Death of a blood doll or breaking of a bond causes a vampire extreme pain.
